What made these companies so powerful? Simple: they brought what you want—rides, food, products—fast and straight to your door. Convenience became the product.
You could order almost everything you need, and still look like this guy…

But not every industry has fully embraced the on-demand revolution yet.
One area still catching up? Car services.
Today, we’re heading to the UAE 🇦🇪 to see how one company is bringing on-demand convenience to the way we look after our cars.
Meet CAFU👋
CAFU is a digital platform bringing car services straight to you. Through the app, drivers can order on-demand fuel top-ups, book car washes, and even get maintenance assistance—without ever needing to visit a station or garage.
How it works?⚙️
Using the app, customers simply choose the service they need—whether that’s fuel delivery, an engine oil change, a tyre replacement, or even roadside assistance—and select a time slot that suits them.
CAFU positions itself as a true multi-service platform, redefining what convenience looks like in car ownership. In many parts of the world, visiting petrol stations or mechanics for even minor issues is still the norm, which makes the demand for a solution like this clear.
Challenges🤔
As with any on-demand service, there are a few key challenges to be aware of.
First, the app has to work flawlessly. When customers rely on technology to book essential services, even small glitches can lead to major frustration and dissatisfaction.
Second, execution on the ground is critical. The quality of each service—whether it’s fueling, washing, or maintenance—directly impacts customer trust. However, this isn’t always fully within the founders’ control, as it depends heavily on operations, staff, and consistency in real-world delivery.
Food for thought💭
Convenience is only valuable if reliability is guaranteed. On-demand services raise expectations—when things go wrong, the disappointment is far greater than with traditional alternatives.
Tech can enable convenience, but execution builds trust. The app may win users, but consistent, high-quality service on the ground is what keeps them coming back.
The biggest opportunities often sit in overlooked habits. Industries that still rely on “the way it’s always been done” can be ripe for disruption—if the solution truly fits into everyday life.
Till next time,
