Monzo and Amex had a baby??!!

🤔Question: What does Boa, theatre tickets and suits all have in common?

Answer: Anyone can get them for free with Yonder!!

Okay… that’s great but what in the Yonder is Yonder?😕

Excellent question! Yonder is a UK-based credit card provider focusing on a membership and lifestyle-style rewards program, particularly for those who enjoy dining, travel, and experiences. They offer points that can be redeemed at partner restaurants, entertainment venues and more.

That’s nice…but I like my Amex 😬

That’s cool! I mean I’m not here to tell you to switch sides but I will tell you the difference. AMEX rewards are more geared towards luxury and travel rewards whereas Yonder focuses on lifestyle rewards so that the points you accumulate on your card can be used for more everyday experiences.

How do I get points? ⬆️

With Yonder’s Full Credit Card (£15/month), you earn 5 points for every £1 you spend. In contrast, their free credit card gives you just 1 point per £1. So, if an experience costs 500 points, you'd only need to spend £100 with the Full Credit Card—but you’d have to spend £500 with the free version to get the same reward!

How does Yonder make money? 🤑

  1. Interchange Fees: Every time you make a purchase using a Mastercard, a small fee is deducted from the transaction. This fee is shared between Mastercard, the merchant’s bank, and the credit card issuer—in this case, Yonder when you're using a Yonder card.

  2. Interest: When payments are not made on time, interest is accrued.

  3. Membership Fee: The Yonder Full Credit Card costs £15 a month.

  4. Partnerships: When you redeem Yonder rewards, Yonder earns a share of the revenue from their partner experience providers.

Till next time,
